A little about Ali...
Thank you for visiting my page, I'm really excited that you're here and I hope we get to work on some projects together.
My name is Alisan Scott. I joined the U.S. Army right out of high school and served 10 years Active Duty as a Veterinary Technician. As a lover and defender of all animals, I knew that I needed to step outside the clinic setting and find a way to contribute to animal welfare on a larger scale. I was fortunate during my time in the service to explore some pretty amazing places, thus started my admiration of all the different terrain features, and landscapes that my animal friends share and I knew what direction I needed to head.
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Geography from Arizona State University. I volunteer with Idaho Fish and Game- Master Naturalist Program as a Conservation Steward, a Map Editor for the USGS National Map and I also try to volunteer at GIS conferences when possible and stay involved in the community.
I am actively working on earning my Drone Pilots License to offer drone surveying and mapping in the future and well as preparing for my GISP certification.
My goal has always been to merge my love of animals and GIS, eventually I hope to assist in wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, and work on wildlife corridors, if you aren't familiar- check them out, truly awesome.
With more than 10 years of experience, Ali has worked closely with state agencies, non-profit organizations, and the private industry to build customized geospatial solutions including web map applications, geostatistical analyses, field data collection, and attractive cartographic products.
